activating iphone

    i got a 16gb 3gs today but it keeps tellin me i need to activate it, its bein connected to itunes for ages now, the apple site says the network have to activate it, somone in 02 said that itunes activates it
    i ported a number from meteor if that makes any difference

    I also got a 3GS today. Activated no problem. However about an hour later i restored my old 3G. It says "waiting for activation this may take some time"

    Problem with the activation server maybe?

    iTunes activates you phone, not O2.

    yeah i thought itunes activates it but have a look at this

    i have a message sayin waitnig for activation, this may take some time, is that activatin in the background or do i have to do somethin ti start it
