    Hey Lads & Lassies,
Anyone recommend a good place in the city to get a big Irish turkey?
    as in approx 24 pounder/10kg.
I've been given the task of getting the bird this year.

    thanks
    bfg

I would second superquinn, although i used to work on the back wall there and back then we'd haven't much by this time left. Maybe really big ones,

thanks, I will try Superquinn and Billy Burkes tomorrow. I understand the lateness but the chef (mum) only rang me tonight after her usual places (back in my hometown) didn't work out, probably because she left it too late.

Ended up ordering one from Billys Butchers in Lisduggan.
Superquinn big ones are all gone since last week.
Over 80 euros it will cost for a free range Irish big turkey 10+ kg
Pay more at the butchers but it was told to me the cheaper turkeys are imported.
