I know you have to wait 6 months before you take your test but i was just wondering do you have to wait 6 months to apply or could you apply at 4 months seeing as the waiting list is around 8 weeks? Thanks in advance! J

Yes and put that you are unavailable until the date you have the permit six months - just in case they give you a date within the six months.

Just to clarify, you can apply for the test whenever you want, however you can only sit the test after you have held your permit for 6 months or more.
