Gaggia Classic problem

Hoping someone might be able to point me in the direction of a fix for my Gaggia. The water has suddenly stopped working. When I flick the switch to make the espresso, there's no water flow. The coffee in the portafilter stas bone dry and, as far as I can see, there's no water coming up the tubes from the reservoir.

The noise the machine makes when you flick the switch is also different - its a bit quieter or weaker than before.

Any ideas? I clean it reasonably regularly and descale too (although I havent descaled in two months or so), so im afraid it might be something more fundamental.

    Thanks.

I'd take it apart carefully. Check there's no hoses blocked, check under the shower screen and go through it part by part. Sounds like a blockage but the pump could be gone.

Are you getting any water through the steam wand or from the grouphead when you have no basket/portafilter attached?

Best case it's an airlock, have a read here for help on fixing.
As Mr M already sai, it could also be a build up of limescale or the pump.
If the airlock fix doesn't help go through a thorough descale a couple of times.
