    Has anyone noticed lately a page on FB about being allowed to view 2 private pages per day..? I noticed this the other day & when Im on FB today I notice I have been able to view pages which were previously private.. Does this mean people can view mine?? :eek:

    Facebook recently changed their privacy settings, that's all. Can change it somewhere in the settings

    You can change it back to your old privacy settings. Go into account settings and you can stop non friends from seeing your profile. :)

    best thing to do when that stupid page pops up is make sure everything is ticked to 'old settings' and save.

    double check your privacy settings, was looking at this yesterday, had all my settings as 'friends only', but last time i logged in i had a pop up where it had auto selected 'everyone' for new messages, photos, groups, events, etc etc, or i could change the selection to 'old settings' or something of similar effect.

    think the idea is that they want you to share everything so people can expand out be more serchable on serach engines, they have also got rid of networks to make you more serchable as well

    <my 2 cents>
    I know the major reason is their bottom line, i.e they will make more money from people who spend more time browsing old mates who they may not be interested in adding as mates

    Is it ethical? I would say, no. Does it encourage stalking? What do you think?

    Not everybody is pernickety enough to check their default account settings. By default, everybody should be assumed to not be an "open" person.

    </my 2 cents>
