Has anyone here used one of these amps??
Cant seem to find much info on them as regards user experience , im on a bit of a budget and was lookin for something better than my trusty old valvestate.

Was lookin at the head version but i would consider the 2x12 combo aswell.

yep..i've played one...they have plenty of power but they dont compete with the all round sound you get from a fender valve amp.

Well to be honest i wouldnt be really interested in the fender amp sound , im looking more for hard rock/metal tone.

    From a metal guitarist.
They are grand for the budget tone wise. Plenty of gain and with some playing about I got a pretty nice tone. Much nicer than any modelling/solid state amp in the price range.

The best way to get an idea is the go and try one out.
No sure where has them in stock. Xmusic had a 212 for a while but I think it's been bought.

If it was me though, I'd look right past the ValveKing and starting looking for a second hand 6505/JSX/Triple XXX combo.
All are far better amps in every way and you should be able to pick one up for the price of a first hand ValveKing.

I have the head and I bloody love the thing.
So versatile. I play blues, jazz, punk, hardcore, metal, ect. The XXX will do it all and sound great.

The head only set me back €525 too, great deal.

The valve kings are excellent value. In the last few years peavey have really upped their game. If you havent done it already, check out this youtube video from Peavey about the valve king.
