    Has anyone here ever oberved that while some people may like someone and get one well with someone and not really be friends with another person but are inclined to have alot more repect for the person they get on with less ?

    Well yes, I get on ok with my boss and respect the guy. And if gave me instructions in work I'd do it.
    If my teammate in work ordered me to do something I'd probably laugh at them

    But I don't realy understand your question OP. What is your question?

    You respect the person you're not friends with because you don't know enough about them to lose respect for them? Not sure what the question is really...
