Looking to book a reasonable b n b for a weekend away with my boyfriend to surprise him, no idea where in the country to go though. hes from the east, and im southwest. :S he loves scenic areas so anywhere with waterfalls/forests/pretty views would be great. any suggestions?...

kerry springs to mind immediately going by the criteria you outlined. Not many other counties have the scenic views you're looking for.
As a Dub, my two favourite counties for long weekends away are Kilkenny and kerry. Kerry beats Kilkenny for the scenary you're looking for though.

West Cork - Clonakilty, Rosscarbery, Castletownsend, Glandore etc.

It will give you a change for Kerry and there is an endless variety of things to do/see.
