AddPbk.exe - Application Error

Just got and installed Meteor Broadband but it won't work. When installing I get an error stating
    AddPbk.exe - Application Error

The instruction at "0x7c9113f7"referenced memory at "0x00000004". The memory could not be "written".

Click on OK to terminate the program.

Now I can open program but I cannot connect yet when I use my uncle's laptop, it works perfectly (on uncle's computer now)

Also, the network connection wizard won't run and I can't access my firewall settings.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Get the latest windows 2000 or xp service pack to fix the problem.

Got it fixed. Wasn't just the service pack. A previous uninstalled program was messing with the registry.

How exactly did you fix this problem? Thanks.

    Hello Jackobyte,
Would you mind explaining how you fix the error?
I am having the same error (different instruction and memory address) but I can´t fix even though I have my XP updated with the latest patches on SP3 and cleaned the registry with CCleaner.
    Any comments would be appreciated.
    Thanks!

I had previously installed 3Ireland Broadband before installing the Meteor Broadband. This was causing registry errors as the uninstall process of the 3 program left items behind that caused problems with Meteors Program.

In the end, I had to give the computer to an IT Technician to fix it.

Uninstall the software for any broadband dongles you have installed, then try reinstall them
