Sendit and their "dispatch" dates.

    Some funny goings on with Sendit.
    Ordered 2 DVDs off of sendit on the 4th. and the transaction went through that day and they got their money. Order history on my account page says both were dispatched on 6th and I got an "order despatched" email . Now today I got another "order despatched" email saying one of the DVDs have been despatched. One of the DVDs originaly despatched has showed up and the other hasn't.

    Is this kinda bizarre messin about with despatched dates common around this time of year?

    I've had the same DVD despatched three times now, THREE times! I keep getting an email saying "Your order has now been despatched".

    Something fishy's going on here.

    That has sometimes happened to me where I would get several dispatch emails for the same thing, probably a glitch in their system. I don't actually get multiple copies!!

    Have to say I don't use much of thehut group sites any more as they are hit and miss with even dispatching items, I have about 6 items that I ordered in the past 2 months that I am still getting the "trying to source from suppliers" emails. Thank god for Amazon and their free delivery over £25. Its actually worth paying a couple of quid extra for good service

    Another DVD I got from them has been despatched three times apparently...

    Your order was first dispatched on the 4/12/09 but due to delivery not arriving the item was replaced firstly on the 8th and then later on the 15th. I can confirm that the item was dispatched on the 15th.

    Delivery usually takes 3-5 working days from our Warehouse in the Channel Islands via first class Royal Mail. Should your order not arrive to you within that time you need to allow 10 full working days for delivery before notifying us then we can track this with Royal Mail.

    I asked them what this business of "due to delivery not arriving" was all about and got this...

    Unfortunately whilst at the warehouse the item was damaged on both the 4th and the 8th of december. However, we have replaced the item and it was dispatched from the warehouse on the 15th.

    Delivery usually takes 3-5 working days from our Warehouse in the Channel Islands via first class Royal Mail. Should your order not arrive to you within that time you need to allow 10 full working days for delivery before notifying us then we can track this with Royal Mail.

    If this has not arrived by 29/12/09 we will either refund your purchase or replace it as it has probably been lost in the post.
    Replied that it's utterly unbelieveable that the same DVD gets "damaged" TWICE! - well maybe it is within the realm of possibility.

    Asked for proof of postage...

    Another DVd that I'd bought on the 3rd of Dec. hasn't showed up. This was the response I got today :
    One of our customer services advisors has reviewed your query and we are able to confirm the following:

    Hello,

    Unfortunately we do not provide proof of postage but i have followed up your order and it was sent on the 3/12/09. If you have since received this, it has obviously been lost in the post and we can replace it if that is what you prefer.

    Can anyone make sense of that? "If you have since received this" ?? Well obviously I haven't received it! Sendit's logic is baffling - if you've received something then it was lost in the post.



    This is the risk you take I suppose when buying something from an internet company based in a tax haven non-country outside of the EU.
