I thought exactly the same, and I'm sure everyone else will. Fantastic name for a restaurant :D

I think the name suggests that it's just a clever front for something entirely different:p

A new Thai and Malaysian restaurant has opened in the city. Situated beside the Carlton Hotel Galway City on the Dublin Road, Miso promises the highest quality fusion of Thai and Malaysian inspired cuisine at affordable prices.
Miso (みそ or 味噌?) is a traditional Japanese seasoning

    Eh, ok.

Nope. That place is going to be called 'The Original Noodle Co.'

Miso is the restaurant in what was Days hotel in Renmore; now the Carlton.

I think there was a thai place there before?

So 'the original noodle co'; wonder what that'll be like?

I still live in hope of a Wagamama :)

Could leave the footpath very slippery if the 'revelers' come out of there slobbering noodles all over the place! It was hard enough avoiding discarded kebab meat.

Only at lunch time as far as I know.

And yes I have been there a number of times. It's nice enough but doesn't quite merit the rave reviews that a lot of people have been giving it IMO

    Ditto. I've had better.

I hope Miso turns out to be good. It would be nearer to where I live than any of the other Asian places.

Glad it's not just me then:). Was expecting great things the first time I went there, but in reality it was nothing spectacular. Hope fully Miso ups the bar a bit; and offers a bit of variance interms of the food on offer aswell; all the other placesin Galway are very Thai/Chinese in their focus.

Hoping to take my girlfriend there on Saturday :D.

Could you not discuss this in private? you have an issue with this member, there's no need to drag it out on someone else's thread, even if it is an old thread.
