Antivirus software problem

    Hi all,

Today my laptop got a virus in it and the software 'Personal Security' downloaded and is popping up now every few minutes to activate or buy the software. I had Kaspersky anti-virus and the virus is now resloved. Does anyone know how I can stop the 'personal security' from popping up and to uninstall it. In the registeration box it says 'this version is for evaluation purpose only and the removal features are disabled'.
    Any help highly appreciated,
    Thanks

Im suprised that Kasperksky actually let a virus install. That said the only think i can think of to really clean a windows pc is to do a full reinstall of the OS. Of course im presuming you have all your personal data backed up a to a external medium like a external hard drive yes?

I myself have recently switched to linux ubuntu and i love the way that most viruses wont even install on this :).

Yea, I've all data backed up. I'll try that in a few days if that personal security doesn't stop coming up. Its more than annoying
