iPhone bought in Northern Ireland

    Hi All,
A relative has bought a Pay as You Go iPhone on O2 in Northern Ireland. I need to switch to the network in the Republic. I am currently a Vodafone Pay as You Go customer in the south. If I unlock the phone and insert my Vodafone SIM card how will that work in terms of data usage, etc. And if not, is there a way of switching without too much hassle/expense from O2 in the UK to the Republic. Not sure what the easiest/most cost effective thing to do is.
    Thanks

Sorry this isint really relevant, but how much did you pay for the iPhone as a matter of interest?

    cheers,

    Kevin.

Go to o2.co.uk and look at the prices

you need to jailbreak and unlock using http://blackra1n.com/

look at the vodafone priceing plans on their site about data useage. As far as I know vodafone hava a good 3g network but no edge? so you either get fast data or nearly none atall aka gprs

I'm wondering if I stuck used my o2 simcard, into a jailbroken/unlocked iphone (bought from ebay)...would they "officially" unlock it?
