Upon getting our new Philips 47" TV I've just noticed how f*cking scary David Daven Power's (RTE Dail Reporter) eyes look.

What's even more scary is....he rarely blinks!

Is he trying to induce mass hypnosis?!?

I'm even tempted to play some of his reporting backwards, but I'm afraid that I'd hear something like "Children of Baphomet, dance naked with me".

Noticed it the other day on a 26 inch telly, he went over a minute without blinking at one stage. I was aroused.

I came to the conclusion that he's actually a cyborg called David Davin and "POWER" is the voice command to bring him out of standby mode.

If you watch him at the start of an OB, he just stares straight ahead as you've described above until he hears "David Davin - POWER", then about 10 seconds later he activates and starts reporting.

That's my theory anyway:D - best of luck with the TV !

Glad someone has posted this as I saw him the other night doing a report outside the Dail, think it was the night before the budget, but I'm not sure. Anyhow,myself and the wife could not believe how his eyes were popping out of his head.

He looked as if he had just taken a few lines of coke, mad staring and no blinking.

Remember a few years ago they found huge traces of cocaine in the Dail toilets, well after that report the other night I'm convinced that he's the 'Dail Drug Don'......he was seriously scary!

I'm sure I remember David Davin Power always wore a dickie-bow, it's only recently he began wearing a tie... Am I wrong?

I was about to start a thread on this. It's only when he appears at night. Saw him on the 1 o'clock news the other day and he was fine, looked like a normal human being. It's when it gets dark that he goes mental.

I'm currently unemployed, so the 1 o'clock news is like breakfast television to me.
