    Hi,

I have being living in the USA for the past 18months, prior to that I was a tax paying citizen and did not live at home. I am 24 years old.
Since I have returned to Ireland 2 weeks ago I(like everyone else) cannot find work & I am back living with my parents. I have being trying and am willing to work at almost any job within reason because I am broke.
Can anybody tell me if I am entitled to claim dole and possibly rent allowance?
Any links would be much appreciated.

    Thank you

Well you're not entitled to jobseeker's benefit anyway cause you need to have been in employment in Ireland for the last 2 years to claim that. Not sure about jobseekers allowance though. All the info is on www.welfare.ie though.

id say youd get the job seekers allowance anyway which would be means tested whether you live at home or not. if your broke youll get the maximum. you should claim rent allowance aswell if your not moving home.
