    Hi chem,do the family still have the V.C or does some museum or collector have it?,for anyone interested Lord Ashcrofts V.C collection is going on display in the Imperial War Museum in 2010 after he made a five million pounds donation,over 100 V.C.s on display would be well worth seeing I think

    Hi Arnhem44, Trying to find out, if they still have it. Was at Collon church today and took some pic (will post when I get the time). I was told his family visit on rememberance day. So just missed them :(

    Its sad, that his body was never found.

    It would be nice if the family still had the medal,like most others they ended up selling there medal during hard times so for most they've ended up in private collections or regimental museums.Thanks for posting the pics,good to see he's remembered there.I must find the link for Lord Ashcrofts collection.
