Can't sell my rifle :(

    Hi guy,
    I no longer use my .22 rifle, so it would be a waste paying for a new licence.
    I rang 2 dealers and was told that 7 out of 10 people going to them at the moment want to sell a gun rather than buy one. So they were unwilling to take the gun. All they could offer is destroying the gun for me.

    So is there a way for me to give the gun away for free? Do I need to go through a dealer?

    You do not have to go through a dealer to buy or sell a firearm. But the person that is buying your firearm MUST have a currrent/valid license to take the said firearm from you.

    All the details are on the new FA1 form for a change of owner ship.
