Thinking of picking up a Philips 42PFL9664 42" and was just looking to get some feedback on it. Anyone have one and can comment or anyone able to suggest a better TV?

I bought the 9664 off the richer sounds forum a couple of months back. I had a samsung full hd for a couple of years which was a great tv. I have to say the 9664 is in a different league. I have sky hd and the hd picture is superb and the sound for a tv is excellent. I have a sony blu ray player and again the screen is superb. There is a lot of processing on the 9664 but you can fiddle around to find the right settings which suit your own needs. SD is pretty good to, this is from the hd box through hdmi. Not to sure what the sd is like through the standard sky box. Net tv is also very handy and easy to set up. Overall I am very happy with this set. You should also check out the rather large thread on AVForums and read what other people think.

Just bought the 42pfl9664 this week. Having problems connecting to the NET TV. Setup the network connections both wired and wireless. Both connecting with no problem. I keep getting "connecting" on Net TV. Contacted Philips support but they asked just to confrim internet connection is working. Anyone any ideas ?
