    Hey all.

Just got the '10 Prospectus today and have an interest in doing the course above. A few questions:

    - Whats is REALLY like?

    - Do you 100% definately need a grade in LC Maths to do it (Im 28, didnt do my LC but have been working as a freelance web designer since - e.g. experience)?

    - Would you recommend this course?

    Thanks.

I thought the LC requirements didn't apply to mature students, might be wrong (I'm not one myself, just thought I read it when applying) but it's worth looking into.

There is a lot of maths in the course, and you start off at a leaving cert level.

The course hasn't been running very long, so that will be a difficult question to answer. Expect to hear it described as "the easy bits of computer applications with some business crap". That's actually not a bad description of the first year, since it overlaps heavily with Computer Applications (by design), and the course is only in it's second year of running.

The maths studied in first year is at roughly the same level as LC honours maths.

That depends on what you want really. If you want to make better websites then I don't expect it'd be much use. If you wanted to move into some kind of business/management in general computing then it could be useful.
