On Wednesday night they opted to show other non-English European teams. Can't remember the last time they ever did that. With the ignorant masses it would have been easy to show 'da pool' but they picked the match which actually had something riding on it. Afterall we are not British, English, 'scousers' or 'mancs' no matter how much some wish we were.

They had originally intended to show the Liverpool match as that is what the EPG on Sky said. Thank God for common sense.

Wondered about that myself but assumed it was because Liverpool were out anyway so it may have been a more interesting match the one they showed.

It was a good decision alright. I hope they got enough viewers to encourage them in that direction.

As a Liverpool fan, I would agree. There was no point in showing the Liverpool match. They're out.

I'm pretty sure they have done this before when a game involving an English side was a dead rubber.
