Flying from Derry to Liverpool - ID

Could i use my republic of ireland driving licence as id to fly from Derry to Liverpool? I dont have a passport. I kept meaning to get one but never did. The chance has came up to go to a liverpool game next week and would really love to go.

If it's with Ryanair, then no. Only a passport will suffice for their ID requirements.
