Girls Only Want Footballers?

Is it me or do a lot of girls just want footballers or successful sporty guys regardless of there personality or the way they behave?

I mean I know a lot of girls that have been messed around by guys like this but keep taking them back.

I mean is it just my own experience or what?

the ladder theory doesnt really describe his situation exactly....thou its a good theory why girls date a holes and stay friends with nice guys.

women like physically active men. They dont have to be football players, once they are quite sporty, healthy and look after themselves. Dont want someone who is going to keel over after walking up a flight of stairs. Or who needs to book 2 seats on an airplane because they too big.

You don't need to play football or loads of sports to be healthy

And i think the ladder theory does apply because he said that these girls are messed around and keep going back to these kinds of assholes. Great theory though, reading it is like is like finding Jesus!

i dont go for sporty guys...wouldnt rate it eitherway. Am more impressed by a sense of humour and intelligence.. dont really care about sports eitherway

From my experiences it's nothing got to do with sporty.

It's a drop-down between Muscularity and good-looks, anything else is desperation, and everyone knows it.

I just read it and it explains it perfectly - 100%.

Footballer = money + attractiveness (at least he's not like 300 pounds) + novelty (not a plumber again) - ergo - pretty high up on the ladder. Probably higher than herself - ergo - disparity

If the man is in the upper position the disparity is a measure of how long the woman will put up with him cheating, using her physically without committing, or paying his rent and all his bills.

If the woman is in the power position then it is a measure of how much the man will spend money on her, fetch her things at midnight, and listen to stories about other guys she is ****ing.

Wow I'm glad that all women have been summed up in a few posts for us!

Look if you met a rock star/movie star/sports star etc of the opposite sex (or same if that's your thing) then of COURSE you'd be in some way interested. I'd imagine a lot of people would.

Why wounld't a woman like a fit, attractive, rich footballer who can whisk her into a whole new lifestyle? Doesn't mean women only like footballers, who are left footed, born on a Tuesday. Women like lots of random crazy things. Like the rest of us.

General things that help are being in shape, looking after yourself, being fun, being smart, being exciting, being funny....

Relationships are messy anyway, they take these guys back and it's their choice, people take crappy partners back every day. It's not a case of: well he did beat me up, but he takes a mean penalty kick so I'll stay together...

i personally like geeky men but then that is because i am probably attracted to intelligence more than body looks. but i imagine the reason alot of women like arseholes is cos blokes that are good looking are more likely to be arogant about it...the same goes for good looking women.

i've known mny a man to date a complete bitch...who was good looking. but dont go round saying that all men only like models.....

I find if you are not getting any it's easy to start blaming all sorts of reasons.

I saw the term 'Sexual Anorexia' used and it seems true. I've seen guys write off Jessica Alba, Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Aniston etc ALL OF THEM. You may not like some of them, but you have to be fair hollywood men and women in movies look pretty great.

The other side of this is 'I'm only an X, women ONLY like Y or Z' Women are this that and the other. Well they're people. They like nice, pleasant, interesting, attractive, fun people. That's being human.

I've a girlfriend and I'm absolutely rubbish at football.

I hate soccer, I have no time for it and would not date a soccer feind never mind someone who plays soccer, so no not all women want a footballer.
