200 or so punters to see him at the Forum last night, fantastic gig. Great player, great band, very tight, and to be 10 feet away from someone of his stature in music was a real treat. The instrumentals and high speed picking were top notch, but he's also a good singer and the slower stuff was very nicely delivered too. He took a 45 minute break, so the set was 9.30 - 10.15 then 11.00 - 12.00. Country Boy was worth the entry price by itself. New piano player is class, and very energetic.

He's doing a two more nights, drogeheda and culdaff this Friday and Saturday. Well worth going for anyone with an interest in top quality musicians.
