I'm 20, i currently gig as a acoustic solo act but really i want a band, i have my own original songs. I can either do lead vocals and rhythm guitar or lead guitar and backing vocals. I have a good voice which is getting stronger with practice and I have been playing guitar for 3 and a half years. I am good at coming with harmonies or lead guitar part to compliement a singer. I live in lusk and would preferably like somewhere close since i don't drive. I listen to lots of different bands in rock, blues, alternative, indie and metal, no point me naming them cause i'd be here all day ha ha.

I'm interested in either setting up a new band or joining an existing one, so if you are interested maybe we can jam some time and just take from their, if you want organise something or have any questions please p.m. me .

Hi there. I'm in a band with some mates, we've been playing together for three years or so but right now I feel we've hit a brick wall creatively. We're really looking for someone who has a good singing voice. But any contributions made to the songwriting process would be great. We're a four-piece currently, two guitars. But a third guitar would be welcome. I mostly play rhythm with a few leady bits. Our singer plays lead mostly. We're mediocre musicians honestly, but I do think we have the potential to write some really good songs. Have a look here http://www.myspace.com/thewickedfew and let us know what you think. We're based all over Dublin but we mostly practice in the city centre. If you want to organise a chat or a jam let me know.

rgjmce, in future if you need a thread closed please let me or one of the other moderators know directly. I don't keep track of every update to every thread so unless it's brought to my attention, a post like yours will just get lost.
