    Darn it! I've been trying all evening to book tickets and I get as far as selecting seats then nothing. Very frustrating. Is anyone else having problems?

    There are no codes in the Sun today. It looks like that was a weekly promotion that appeared in yesterday's 'paper' only. Will keep an eye out and post when it appears. Irish Rail and the Sun would appear to have ongoing promos, there is no way of predicting when they come up though. Keep an eye on Bargain Alerts!

    Anyone know what happens if you don't make the train that you have booked?

    Are the tickets transferrable or must they be used on the time and dates in question?

    i think you can chance your arm and try to go on another train. if your caught though you have to pay the difference i believe. but i wouldnt recommend going down that route :)

    They have been cutting down on that - a number of times I've been behind people trying to get an earlier train that the one on their ticket and they have been sent back to the ticket office because of the price difference. thats on the Cork-Dublin service, and I haven't seen it at all before, people being asked to go back because of the difference. I'm pretty sure it has got to do with the installation of the new barriers in Heuston station though
