    hey all,

quick question re the Sky+ app for iPhone...

do you need to have the telephone line hooked up to your Sky+ box for this app to work?

I didn't bother with the phone line because it would have been too awkward. I only have the two cables from the satelite going into it.

Does anyone have any feedback re it? is it worth getting??

    Thanks!

You need to register, so you can do a one-off connection with the phone line.
I couldn't get the Sky one working, so I got TV Plus for 79c and it is brilliant. Works like a charm.

no need for phone line. Sky+ app works fine for me on v3.1.2 on 3GS.

    Highly recommend the app!

When I registered on MySky (a couple of years ago) you had to have the box phone home (freephone call) to complete the registration. I don't know if that's still the case.

After that, you don't need any phone line. The remote record signal is sent via satellite.
