Calendar design software

One of the teachers in my kids' school wants to design some calendars as a fund raiser for the school but she only knows how to use MS Publisher to do so. The school doesn't have a license for Publisher. We could buy it but I thought I'd check if there's any decent OS (or even free but non-FOSS - forgive me OscarBravo) calendar design software out there for Windows.

    Anyone know any?

I'm not a DTP or windows user and I've never created a calendar... so I'll be a great help :)

But I have played around with Scribus and I believe it is available for windows as well as linux.

In Scribus there is a script to create a simple calendar... not sure what level of complexity is required.

If this is a once off perhaps learning a new app isn't worth all the hassle and the "spare license" route might be the best bet... though MS in particular often state the license is not transferable.

Forgot to reply here. Research elsewhere and the learning curve for Scribus (which does rock btw) is too much for the teachers. So I forked out for Publisher - was only €65 for an educational license - which is transferrable.

I use Digikam (mainly Linux, but now under KDE on Windows too) and it has a simple calendar wizard. I think it can use calendars from http://icalshare.com/faq.php too but I'm not 100% on that.
