My cars central locking is malfunctioning. When I lock car, the car locks but the indicator lights do no flash when you lock car like all cars with central locking. However when you open the car the indicators flash once like they should but not when you lock it. Message pops up on the Electronic computer display also showing the back boot door flashing, however the back boot door is closed correctly. There are also no side door flashing lights on the drivers and front passenger door that show the alarm is active. Car is a Audi A4 SE (pre 2001 model).

what could be gone?

Boot sensor? It happened to my car when i was rear ended. All sorted now though. I think when it doesn't flash when you are locking it means the alarm is not activated which is to do with the boot sensor not working.
