    hi, i need some help, is it possible to use an external hdd on both ps3 and laptop ?

    Perfectly possible, been doing it myself for a few months, you'll most likely have to format the drive to FAT32 which the PS3 should do, or just have a look around for a program to do it through the laptop. Re-formatting will wipe it so back up anything you have on it.

    i bought an external sata case off ebay but havent got it yet and ive a 120 gb hdd from a ps3 slim and was planning to make the external hdd that way. So the laptop will run on the fat32 format too?
