The 2010 Pramerica Spirit of Community Awards will be on in February. unfortunately the dealine for applications has past but it looks like a good way of bringing the idea and ideals of volunteerism to young people. volunteer.ie

The Pramerica Spirit of Community Awards is an All-Ireland recognition programme which recognises and rewards post-primary/second-level students for volunteer work carried out in their communities

Do you know a student volunteer who deserves to be recognised for their volunteer work? Then encourage them to apply for the Pramerica Spirit of Community Award! This programme recognises post primary, secondary-level students from both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland for community service activities, and is co-sponsored by the National Association of Principals and Deputy Principals, (NAPD) and the General Teaching Council for Northern Ireland, (GTCNI).
