Hatred of Random

Hello all you arbitrary people, I hate the way the word random is being used these days. I think it started about 5 years ago around the time bebo was getting popular in Ireland. I reckon that had something to do with it. Spontanaeity is now extinct and has been replaced by random. Instead of saying that was spontaneous people ( younger people usually) say that was so random. People are even described as random now. You didn't meet a stranger, you met a random person. Now even rowntrees are jumping on the bandwagon with rowntrees randoms. I hate it. As an act of defiance I only use the word arbitrary now instead of random even when random is appropriate, random makes me feel sick now. Although technically speaking it's not the exact same word, but close enough. I reckon people started to really get a feel about how insignificant and non snowflake like people are through bebo. So then people just regarded other people as just another grain of sand on the beach and may as well be random. Hate the word now, really do.

    Words bother people.
    Never fails to amaze me.
Also who uses spontaneous to describe someone.
    I hate that word.

I don't like when people say "a random just showed up at our party". In that context it annoys me.
I'm pretty sure it was a studenty-UK thing and must have spread over here. "OMG THAT WAS SO RANDOM!"
