i am looking for some advice on a reps plan. The farm is in reps 4 but has been divided between two of us. we aim to continue in reps but as the
scheme is closed to new entrants can both of us claim reps individually or does one person claim reps on the whole parcel while the other signs this plan. thanks for any help

First question is do you plan to split the farm in practice and set up two separate farm units? The answer to this question will depend on such things as whether or not it is viable to have two units, do you both have the time/ability/money/interest to farm separately or does it make more sense to continue to farm as one unit and come to an arrangement re day to day management, profit sharing etc. Are either of you farming other land and if so is it in REPS? the REPS will only be for another 4 years, better to sort out the bigger issues first and then see how to make the most out of it.
