    Shakin Stevins appears in Court

    Shakin Stevens, a UK pop star, has appeared in court in Co Antrim in connection with an assault.

    The pop star's real name is Michael Barrett who is 61-years-old appeared at Ballymena Magistrate's Court.

    Mr Barrett is accused of assaulting a freelance photographer in December last year.

    Shakin Stevens was the top selling UK male artist of the 1980's, with a string of No.1 hits including 'Green Door', 'This Ole House', and 'Merry Christmas Everyone'.
