Just out of interest does one require a certain license to open a casino currently? I presume a change of use of premises would be required?

Has anybody any idea of the set-up costs involved in such a venture?

Yep - I can give you a total breakdown - and supply you with everything :D:D

Licencing will come in at some stage, but currently you would operate as a private members club.

If the premises previously operated as a fitness club, new planning may not be required, but generally change of use is required and cannot be refused unless there's a specific reason for refusal such as parking, residential area etc etc. -

I would recommend also offering fun casino nights as a way of earning extra income without people winning / losing money. - Also gets people into the premises.

Cost of equipment (tables, chips, wheels, card etc) for good sized casino using good quality tables would be in the region of €20k, but it can be done for as little as €12k
