Must put a bit of thought into this, should be a little more achievable then the Top 20 Songs list.

Not gonna do 20, so I'll do top 3

    1. Radiohead - Marlay Park 2006
    2. Muse - Marlay Park 2008
    3. Blur - Oxegen 2009

I’m trying to limit mine to 1 performance per band which is tough as the list could easily be filled with multiple by the same band(s). So, in chronological order, with the useless memory I have today and bearing in mind the decade isn’t over yet (I’ve still got Depeche Mode to go to tomorrow), here’s my list.

*Most of the below are based on performances I came out of with such a good post-gig buzz from, be it for craziness of the crowd+band, performance or whatever. Where are the Radiohead's and Sigur Ros's?? They were fantastic but this is what I enjoyed.*

    Beck – Witnness 2000
    Muse – Galway 2001
    U2 – Slane 2001
    Breeders – Ambassador 2002
Manic Street Preachers – Oxegen 2003 (Seen them many times but this was the best hour+ set I’ve seen them play)
Queens of the Stone Age – Slane 2003
    Muse – Olympia 2004
Interpol – Oxegen 2005 (there’s other performances by them I could use but this one was so good)
    Ladytron – Bennicassim 2005
Arcade Fire – Electric Picnic 2005
Klaxons – Crawdaddy 2006 (They performed a blinder of a set @ EP 09 but this was just a mental gig)
The Cribs – Edinburgh Potterow Student’s Union 2007
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club – The Village 2007
    Kasabian – Dolans Warehouse 2007
    LCD Soundsystem – Tripod 2007
    Jape – Dolans upstairs 2008
    Humanzi – Whelans Upstairs 2008
Franz Ferdinand – Dolans Warehouse 2009
Passion Pit – Electric Picnic 2009
    Pixies – Olympia 2009 (Friday)

Nice one fitz, I saw QOTSA at Slane in 2003 and it was definitely one of the highlights, fantastic.

Can't think of 20 gigs that I've been to and been blown away by, but here's a few anyway-

-Life at these Speeds/Sciene of Yabra in Kilcoole, 2004 I think- despite having never heard of either of these bands prior to going to the gig, it remains the best one I've ever, ever been at. Absolutely amazing.

-Biffy Clyro at Róisin Dubh, 2005- the good old days of vertigo tunes getting blasted out and opening with bodies in flight!

-Minus the Bear at Manchester Academy 3, 2007

-Noah and the Whale in Tivoli de Helling, Utrecht- 2009. Happened to be in Holland and they were playing, turns out they were really good. 2 hour plus set which is a rarity and it was only about €10.

-QOTSA at Slane in 2003 as mentioned above, they were immense and I flew through the air in an inflatable sofa which was equally as fun.

-Cursive (probably the best band in the world) at Hare and Hounds in Birmingham, 2009

-Arcade Fire at Manc Academy, 2005- awe inspiring.

-Beck at the Point in 2002 or so, with My Morning Jacket as support- that was pretty ace too.

Luckily I've only been to 20 gigs in the last decade. :)

Right I can't do them in order so here they are as I think of them (with only one mention per band):

    Pixies - Olympia, Dublin 2009
Smog - Roisin Dubh, Galway 2001
Sigur Ros - Ambassador, Dublin 2002
Godspeed You Black Emperor - Ambassador, Dublin 2002
Sonic Youth - Vicar Street, Dublin 2009
Wilco - Vicar Street, Dublin 2007
    Leonard Cohen, Kilmainham, Dublin 2008
Chic - Electric Picnic, Laois 2009
    Caribou - Whelans, Dublin 2007
Redneck Manifesto - Roisin Dubh, Galway 2004(?)
Jape & Dan Deacon - Vicar Street, Dublin 2008
Grinderman - Electric Picnic, Laois 2008
Weezer - The Point, Dublin 2005
    Micah P Hinson - Whelans, Dublin 2005(?)
Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds - Olympia, Dublin 2001
My Bloody Valentine - Apollo, Manchester 2008
    Radiohead - Punchestown, Kildare - 2000
    Battles - ATP, Minehead 2008
Animal Collective - ATP, Minehead 2008
Yo La Tengo - Tripod, Dublin 2009

That was hard. Too bad Elliott Smith played TBMC with Quasi in 1999 or else that'd be there too.
