The only thing I can think of is have you tried any car upholstery repair places? They can repair leather seats so maybe suits may not be out of the question.

no i havent tried yet because i only bought them 2nd hand tonight,
cant think of any in cork though,
    but thanks for the reply,
il have a look for ones in cork

I usually put duck tape over the holes in my suit before a race (prob not a good idea since its not fire proof:)). Id say any half decent tailor could fix the fabric tear but you will need a leather specialist to do the leather stuff.

yeah but id prefer to get it as new,
also the where the leather is worn, could that be fixed also?

also, what would be the best way of cleaning the lining on the inside of the suit,
do ya know the way ya can take it out?

Just turn it inside out and wipe down with a DAMP cloth and let it dry while hanging indoors.Slightly off topic but if anyone is repairing a car racing suit REMEMBER TO USE FIRE PROOF THREAD.

I dont think you can take the lining out without damaging it, the best way to get it cleaned is to take it to a dry cleaners. Your not supposed to put them in a washing machine, you could also turn it inside out and hand wash it.

the lining can come out easy, its only zipped in,
i forgot to update but i sent it into a shop today and it'll be ready in a week,
he said it'll cost about €35-€40,
    thanks for the replies.

Ah my suits dont have the zip ability, well good news on 40euro is nothing really compared to a new suit. Good result.

    thanks
