USP Holster options

Back again looking for the wisdom form those in the know ;)

    Just preliminarily acquired this

    ppEH-KSC-GBB-USP45-S7-SA.jpg

    Along with two mags

(Tony I ****ing adore you :P)

So now I'm looking at options for holstering the gun and the mags.

I have been using a shoulder holster for the last while and its great, but I'm looking at belt options.

I have a 5.11 double mag stack belt thingy that will probably do the trick for the mags.

The holster however is eluding me, with so many options im a bit "meh" on the whole thing. Obviously a serpa would be ideal but I dont believe the System 7 USP fits any of them.

I'm acquiring a new PMC loadout, so something that might be relevant to that sort of look would be prefered, ideally something on my belt, but a leg rig is always a choice.

I have a few in mind but I really just want some fresh input here.

And to make one thing clear, I will not even remotely consider the run of the mill "drop legs" that swing all over the shop and are generally ****e.

:Have ya thought of something like a Fobus Doc? Don't know if it would fit a System 7 though:o

Exactly what I was looking for, anyone got experience with Fobus, only ever used Serpas.

But that is literally what I was looking for, also turns out the 5.11 double mag stacker might not take the System 7 mags, so perhaps that one will

(AFAIK the system 7 mags are bigger then the real usp mags)

    Cheers blay!

    Doc,

Serpa does work for the USP System 7. Mine fits. If I get a chance I'll call into you at the shop with it this Saturday and you can try it out.

Fobus are great holsters and very hard wearing, have a couple myself. They suit the PMC load out pretty well also. Very reasonably priced as well, about €25 - €30 delivered from ebay.

I also have the dual mag holder on the bottom of the link page below (model 6900), I use it for TM G17 mags and they're just a little loose in it, if that's any good to ya.

Isn't the point of a mercenary load-out that they wear and use all sorts of stuff?

Yes but there is however some items that would be regarded as the "standard" within the circles.

I take a great interest in the PMC world with books and documentary viewing and theres certain standards. For example H&K main weapon and sidearm as just the standard, however some companies run contracts with other companies for using their equipment.

The PMC world is a very attractive world for gun companies with very large contracts.

Have you not ever wondered why there is "shot shows" showing the likes of a FN Scar?

Its not for the army, they get directly sent testing models and material, its for the pmc world.

I have a USP serpa I won't be needing from now on i think, you could see if that fits and if so, have it.

Also watch out...the mag release can be hit while in the serpa, as i found out, with my only HFC usp mag, tear.

Have a Safariland also and they're second to none.. Pricey though in comparison to Fobus, even for a second hand one..

Tactical tailor do a moulded USP Molle holster. I have one and the USP is snug in it, it's never come out, plus there's a spare mag pounch attached to it.

Depends really whether you wish to appear as the 'organized PMC' ala BlackWater, or the smaller ones that are less organized. A family friend who left the USMC a couple of years back upon return from Iraq went back in September with a PMC. In correspondence he said that the crowd he was with were rather relaxed- and there was no real standard weapon, just whatever suited you and whatever was cheap! Blew away any illusions of professionalism anyway...
