Just wondering if there is a general limit of length that an optical lead can be from lets say a receiver amp to a tv?
Generally i thought they were short leads of a about a metre.
You see I need it to go around 4 or 5 metres.
Can you buy leads of this length?
    Thanks

yes, tis possible. Why the long run to your TV? TV speakers are only stereo, and then aren't the best anyway.

I.e. what have you plugged into your receiver? why not use those speakers?

Cheers Nereid. What I really meant to say was that I want to plug my Humax freesat+ satelite box(which has an optical out) into my digital receiver which is far away in the other corner of the room.
