Echofon - now with Facebook!

    Echofon (previously Twitterfon on the iPhone and Twitterfox as a Firefox add-on) used to be solely a Twitter app, but now they've branched out to include Facebook compatibility.

    With the new app simply called "Echofon for Facebook", you can view your news feed in the same way you would read Twitter updates, as well as having the ability to update your own status along with liking and commenting on other updates too. You can also access messages, photos, profiles and there's also notifications with push ability.

    I doubt it'll overtake the official Facebook app but it's still a very nice alternative, plus it's free so there's no harm at least trying it out!

    PS - if any of you are on Macs, try out Echofon for Mac. It's a native Twitter app that's only on preview release, but it's free to try out in the meantime. It will also sync with your iPhone if you use Echofon Pro :)
