    Im not sure i get what your saying 100%, but couldn't you download it in that format and then covert it to WMA/AVI/MPEG Etc?

    Again im not sure what your saying, thats prob. just me being a idiot :P

    Thanks Mister Man...the problem I am having is that the extension .asx is not converting for me, its downloaded size is 4kb. As the URL lauches the video and not a webpage means that I cannot use YouTube downloader or Real Player...maybe I am being really stupid, hopefully:)...A simple answer would be great....cheers....Souness

    I think .asx might be a streaming format. I'm nearly sure its possible in principle, but cant help you with details. Try googling, someone will have wanted to do it before....

    heres a workaround, get camtasia or a screen recording software and play the stream and record said stream via camtasia and save it.

    sorted.
