Would anyone be so kind to tell me about this course from a students perspective. I've read the info on the website and it looks really interesting but what would this course offer me that would differ from courses in UL such as Mech.Eng?

    All info very welcome.

    Thanks

    Hi,
I am a final year student in Electronic & Computer Engineering and first off no student is going to give you a full perspective of what this course is like as it is a new course just started up this year.
From what I can see from looking at the syllabus the course is mix of modules(subjects) taken from Mechanical, Electronic & Industrial Engineering with the largest number of modules being taken from mechanical Engineering.
The first year seems to be a standard introduction to fundamental techniques used in Electronic, Mechanical & Industrial Engineering with maths and mathphysics thrown in.
If you've done applied maths in second level you should have no problem with mathsphysics.
    hope this helps!
