VW Golf Mk4 not locking by remote?

    Hi all,
    Am new on here. Yesterday for no apparent reason, my key fob refused to lock the car! I have since changed the key-fob battery only to find out that wasn't the problem.
    Has anyone else had this problem? I was thinking it may be a fuse or the sensor/s playing up?

    Any advise much appreciated :)
