I am public sector worker and have had big cuts the last year or so - with the next cut I will be in the category to get FIS - I am a lone parent with two kids

A question I have: When calculating the income I realise it is net income but is there any account taken of large mortgage payments and other bills?

I don't earn enough to pay the bills and live and am trying to see is there any benefit to support to assist me and the kids...

    thanks

    Hi snowdaze

for FIS the DSFA just looks at income rather than at outgoings like mortgage repayments.

FIS is not counted in making a medical card assessment, so it might be worth applying for a medical card / GP visit card.
