    Yes. A few times.

You get a warning message when you are about to hit your limit.

It's bloody expensive; but 15 GB is a lot ... Just watch those torrents (that's what gets me!)

Yeah, this month I'll be paying an extra €20.

You can monitor your usage at the self care portal and see how much you have remaining, and once you go over you can see how much extra you have spent.

At 7c per Mb you must have gone over by a hell of a lot!!

Perfectly reasonable for them to charge when you go over, going over by IGB is quite a lot, perhaps a new price plan may be an option for you :)

Which 3G midband though? There are 4 operators in Ireland.

I would hazard a guess the chap is referring to this provider

Me thinks you aren't a private detective Jor el are you :D

I think jor el is making the point that 3g is not a provider but a technology used by the 4 main mobile networks. A distinction which has been pointed out time and time again here.

It's really refreshing that a moderator has f all else to do but to wander about being obtuse about things if you are correct.

Not really. 3 are not the only broadband provider who use 3g technology at a 19.99 per month price point. He was only trying to clarify the provider. Anyway that's not the issue of the thread now is it?

As I pointed out, there are 4 3G operators in Ireland, all of whom have offerings at €20 a month. They all have their own way of dealing with excessive usage. If you have nothing constructive to offer, you can do it somewhere else.

I once had a torrent file which I accidentally left seeding. It went on for two days. These two days were in between two billing periods. I was charged €80 for each month. That's €120 more than I would have paid. As this was an accident I emailed O2 to see if they could have some mercy and was basically told to f**k off.

As any of the providers would
