few questions

what is best racing game for either ps2 or ps3? what game for ps3 has most longevity? is smackdown vs raw2010 good and how is caw mode? is pes2010 worth investing in? would it be better to rent uncharted 2?

Best racing game would probably be Colin McRae Dirt 1/2 or Burnout Paradise both for PS3. Until GT5 comes out that is

Game with most longevity would be Fallout 3, Borderlands or Oblivion: Elder Scrolls IV

Same as the previous one but still worth a look. I used to play it on my old PS3 til I had to get the new one

SVR caw is good. better than it used to be. The points system for putting clothes and stuff on your character is cool and they look like the proper wrestlers, not a sore thumb.

The way you buiild stats by playing matches is great and encourages you to do stuff like try get reversals to build your technical stat or go for strikes to build that.

The game plays better than any smackdown for years imo. Simpler reversal system, simpler strong grapple system, generally everything is just easier to pull off than before, less complicated button combinations and such.

thats awesome. last game i got was 07 and the caws in that look rubbish. only problem is the caw attributes. i prefer just to have instant ratings as i create real wrestlers and play out my own stories and ppv in exhibition mode.

but thats cool cant wait to get it.

PES2010 is Ok but in comparison to Fifa10 there is no competition, Fifa wins hands down.

As for uncharted 2 If you really enjoy that type of game I'd recommend you'd buy it as in 2-3 weeks you'll probably want to play it again.

Longevity is the specialty of Oblivion GOTY or Fallout 3 GOTY and they manage not to get repetitive.

Gran Turismo is great but my favorite racing game that I've played is NFS: Most Wanted on the PS2 and if you haven't played that I'd reccommend it.

oh yeah forgot, the create a storyline mode is good fun, but annoyingly you can only use a caw 10 times, so it doesn;t really work for a long storyline where you want say, more than 5 promos and 5 matches.

The stats tbh aren't such a big deal, as long as you give your character a match or two and bang up their speed they seem as good as anyone. I do the same as you with caws. One good thing is you can create up to 4 outfits for each caw, so you could make say godfather with the goodfather gear and papa shango as an option.

There is a weird glitch where if you make an outfit after going off and building stats, setting movesets etc. it reverts back to default, so make all the outfits you want straight away if you plan on doing that.

Best racing game is still Burnout Paradise imo. Will take an age to clear it as well, so its fantastic value for money...

Borderlands is great if you want longevity, but I can see it being a bit of a marmite game... Currently on my second playthrough now, and will start a new game with a different character when I finish that!

Uncharted 1 was a very replayable game. I'd say if you rent Uncharted 2, you'll just find yourself wanting to play through it again a month later

Very matter of factly put... IMO PES wins hands down and I do have both. Just my opinion though.
