Over the last while, I have seen different mobile djs in action and look at the rig and wonder is it up to the job. Average gig, mobile, 150-100 people. What do you use? Just thinking about upgrading the rig a bit.

    I use:
    2 x RCF 325A
    2 x RCF 322A (back-up)
    2 x RCF 422A SUB

    Pioneer DJM-600
    MacBook Pro running Traktor

    4 LED parcans for wash
    2 LED Scans on stands

For any mobile DJs, is Nexo worth the money?

No sign of a strobe? For shame!

How are you controlling the Parcans?

Nexo is great but much too expensive for mobile gear imo.
I have a fantastic sounding Ohm system that I've sale agreed on adverts.
Thinking of getting QSC K12 and QSC hpr 151i active system instead.

Use 2 martin mania efx500 and 4 acme slim par cans for lighting and
virtual dj/hercules rmx/dualcore dell lappie with denon dnd4000 decks for
backup/cd and a rhino stand with starcloth - would love a s%h booth but
they are massive and pricey (>£700!)

too much - about 5 grand!

    soundlab 500watt amp,
    akg radio mic,
    kam mobile pro mixer,
numark cdn 22- bring them but never use them anymore.
custom laptop in flight case, external hd and all powersupplies built in. no connecting it all up every time.
behringer bcr 2000 midi controller. only if its a dance gig, rnb only needs keyboard shortcuts.
jbl eon 1500 x2, nice and light, plenty of punch too.

    lights
2 x acme tango's, these have 2 scanning heads each and give movement and tempo synced flashes.
1 source moonflower, point this up at the ceiling
1 acme thing with a rotation prism on the front. its a room filler

mobile gigs are mainly chart music so i dont need djfx, and most funtion rooms arent big enough for a big system, i probably will add a powered sub next year just for some added low end.

main thing for me is keeping it all portable, and having a quick setup time, i keep the weigh down and rack everything up, everything connects via mono jack to jack meaning i dont have to worry about 10 different types of lead.
Most important bit of kit is a good surge protector, pubs n clubs have lots of noisey fridges which can put clicks and spikes into the mains, a good protector will look after your investment in gear.

Fcuk:D Anyone want to try and beat that?
I assume the rest is not cheap, but would the average be about 2k?

Interesting tread. Its nice to see what other are using.

    Mine,

    FOH:
    2x JBL MRX512m
    4x JBL VRX915s
    2x QSC3602's

    Sound:
    Denon DN-X500
Numark D2 Director, various HD and USB keys etc.
ipod for backup with a Apple Powerbook.

    Lights,

    4x Martin SCX700's
    2x Martin EFX600's
    1x Martin 2500hz Hazer
    Elation Magic 260 DMX controller

Looking to change rig at the moment. Getting to use RCF powered range for a few gigs. Nice stuff, heavy but great sound for a mobile setup.

    What i use:
Reliability is key for mobile rigs imo, had my first set of speakers for 7years untill last friday untill one blew (literally, smoke and everything!) so bought another 2

    Speakers
The box 502 Pa A x3, powered 500watt (for normal function rooms i only use 2 of them),

    Lights
1 Led effects light (american dj LED Vision)
1 normal effects light ( one of those older chaos lights, have it years)
    1 Starville Sqanner

    Players
    Denon Dn4000 Dual Cd
    Pioneer cdj1000x2
    Behringer DDM4000

    Interesting Thread,

    2 x JBL Eon 15
1 x The Box TA 18 Sub (for bigger events)
    1 x Denon HC 4500
    1 x denon DN 4500
    1 x numark mixer
    1 x Macbook (running Cue)
    1 x sennheiser wireless mic
    1 x sennheiser headphones
    (spare numark cdmix III ICOE)

    2 x Abstract Cylone
    2 x vango twister

Very quick setup time, and very portable. Easily fits into the car and only need the sub for 250-300 people events really. Would like a new mixer but apart from that happy enough with everything.
