    Hi

I'm writing an assignment and I'm using fictitious names.

To do this I have put a * beside them. I want to acknowledge this in a footnote but I don't know how as when I go to insert footnote, it inserts a i for me. Can someone help?

    I have Word 2007

    thanks

You are asked which to chose (1,2,3) or (i,ii,ii) or (*,...etc)

Least in Word 2003. It's somewhere anyways.

    • Insert the footnote.
    • Go to the end of the page, and highlight the "i" at the bottom.
    • Right click where you've highlighted.
    • Select "Note Options".
    • Select *, etc as your "Number format".
    • Send me chocolate and wine.
