Ban on Xmas trees somewhere in Ireland?

I think it was last Friday morning on Pat Kenny that I heard someone on about some ban on Xmas trees somewhere that was in place in order to avoid offending people of other cultures. There may or may not have been complaints in the lead up to the ban.

I'm not sure what area it's in. It could be primary schools or council buildings for all I know.

I'd be most appreciative if someone could give me some info on this, along with a link to a news report if possible.

    Asking a lot I know.

    Thanks.

Sounds like a re-hash of the Daily Mail-spawned crap that the UK has had over the years.

If it's true the people responsible are idiots but I'd guess it's not.
