Mixing oil in oil tank

Anyone know what will happen if Gas oil is in a tank (about a third full) and then despite ordering gas oil the oil company put in Kerosene instead:rolleyes:
I don't know much about oil but will the new oil mix or sit on top of the old? I'm worried my boiler will stop working as the timing in it or whatever won't be able to burn the new stuff.

Pretty sure the same thing happened years ago and some guy had to come out to the house to alter the boiler to accept the gas oil? Should it be the oil company's problem if they delivered the wrong stuff?

If it is a modern burner, it will run better on kerosene. The two oils will mix ok - and probably burn ok without adjustment, but it certainly would be better to have a service engineer out to re-adjust the burner.
