I have synced my earpiece (motorola) to the ps3 via bluetooth but when a prompt appears on screen to "register device" & i start scanning in the "Manage devices" section, nothing happens. It just keeps scanning. What could be wrong?

you need to get the earpiece into "pairing" mode before you start scanning

that usually involves something like holding the power button from when its off till it flashes or something... each headset would be different

motorola, mine didn't really work either - just get the official sony one to eliminate such possible nuances.. -though the recent firmware update has caused loss of sync with bluetooth devices which are still unsolved, i blame motorola here. it'll give u hell if ya don't just give up on it. seems synced/then not, works, then doesn't. google your version / PS3 maybe to be certain

the 3.1 fw update fecked up bluetooth for a lot of machines, slims, my controllers very hard to sync now, might sync for a day or two, then takes me ages to re-sync again, could you be affected also ?
